Answered by Phil McCracken - Fri Oct 26 16:54:24 2007 How long does the application process usually take for tesco? Q. I give in a application form for tesco, for a part time job and I just want to know how long do they usually contact you if you have got a interview/job ? Asked by karl - Fri Jun 12 10:49:58 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. It's usually 2 weeks from handing the form in until you get a letter inviting you for interview (or a sorry). Then after the interview, they normally write again after one week with a provisional offer of the job (or not). Two weeks later, it's induction time and you go in for initial training. Finally provided the references came back ok, you start work. The whole time from application to start is 7 weeks. Answered by kinvadave - Fri Jun 12 11:01:24 2009 What do the little asterisks on Tesco receipts mean?
Q. I looked at my Tesco receipt the other day, and noticed some items had a little * by them whereas the rest did not. What do they mean, please? Asked by david4thelord - Mon Oct 9 12:48:59 2006 - - 12 Answers - 1 Comments A. Hi, It denotes items that are chargable for tax. (exempt or zero-rated items are not marked with an asterisk) Have a look at or which explains that, and then you can view; or which is a full list of zero rated items. "Group 1" in the "Schedule 8" section deals with Foodstuffs, and explains what foods are chargable and which are not; or Basically, to you and me, foodstuff like Cereals, which are considered "essentials" are zero rated, but Ice-Cream which is considered non-essential (Except me, where Carte D'or's "Lavazza Latte Macchiato" Coffee flavour is concerned!) is chargeable.
