My electrician is telling me that I need a new three phase panel to replace a single phase panel, but I have my doubts. What are the basic differences? I suspect that my "single" phase panel can supply three phase as it appears that a three phase HVAC unit is currently supplied by this panel. Different rules apply for different countries. If you are in Australia, the UK or some parts of Europe, you should see (quite clearly) 3 different coloured cables supplying the main distribution board if it is 3 phase. In Australia, the colours are red (A phase), white (B phase) & blue (C phase). The neutral conductor will be black. If you have the misfortune to be in the USA, you may only see a multitude of white cables with a red (maybe) & perhaps a black or 2. If you are in the USA, I'd get an electrician. Though it is very hard to explain I will try my best. in a 3 phase motor there are 3 winding placed with 120 degree shift you can imagine it as a triangular configuration. a 3 phase power supply is supplied to the winding and each winding is connected to a phase. the currents going in the windings are equals in values and there is 120 phase shift that means when a value is at maximum positive they other two are almost half the maximum but negative. these values change according to the frequency of the 3 phase supply which leads to a resulting magnetic field always rotating. this rotating field induce currents in the rotor which try to oppose the currents on the stators windings so the magnetic fields resulting from the rotor kind of pick… [cont.] Answered by anas - Thu Nov 13 07:39:45 2008 What happens exactly during the contract phase?
Q. Buying a new construction home and also my first home seems to be more difficult than buying a resale home. In order for me to take a house off the market, I was told that I needed to pay the earnest money ($8000), sign the contract and specify who I'm using as my lender(whether it be the builder's lender or separate entity). I'm planning on using the builder's lender because of all the incentives that they are giving, but how can I fully agree to using them if I haven't even seen the Good Faith Estimate of all the other associated fees?!?! Also, can anyone explain to me what happens exactly during the contract phase? Do they just read off a bunch of disclaimers and I sign agreeing to buy the house for a set amount and est. finish time?
