Go to a bank, or a credit union and get your own financing for the vehicle. The bank will cut a check to the financing company that currently holds the title, and the title will be sent to your bank for your loan. Loans cannot be "signed over" as some others have written. You need to get your own loan. What will help, is if you bring receipts with you showing that you have been making regular payments to the person that currently has the loan. The bank will like to see this. You will also need to show proof of insurance in order to get this loan. Hope this helps! Q. Wondering what are the laws in the state of Texas for bars/restaurants when closing time hits and the doors are locked and it is considered closed. Can persons stay and drink inside the locked establishment without being sold the alcohol? They are just being served without any exchange of money or tips. Pretty much like drinking at home.
