Do you need metal spikes on your baseball cleats in high school?
Q. I'm going to high school this year and I am going out for the baseball team. I have always used rubber spikes for little league and middle school ball, but now the Juniors are telling us to get metal spiked cleats. Are these necessary for high school level baseball.

A. You can use either, but I found very early on in my baseball career that metal cleats gave me more of an advantage than rubber cleats. Some coaches require metal cleats, some don't. Whichever works best for you and your team are the cleats that you should use. I would recommend at least trying metal, though.
