Can my memory stick get affected by a virus infected computer?
Q. I recently put my memory stick into the input on one of my old computers. I was planning on writing some stuff up for homework on it, since my new computer was under repairs. However, I totally forgot that the computer had a virus. So my question is; is my memory stick now going to be infected by the virus my computer has? I simply inserted the stick, I never actually put anything on it, or took anything off.

How do you boost or help your memory to get better?
Q. I used to have a really really sharp memory that'd remember every little detail to the big picture of each event, conversation, day, I was in. From the color of their shirt, to what time of the day to every single thing they said, the details of the room. Now a long time ago some trauma happened and I'm healed now. My memory is horrible now. I miss my sharp memory. Is there any way to go back to having a sharp memory? By the way it wasn't a physical trauma to the head or something.

A. Ok, a quick clarification for those above. Memory is RAM, storage is hard drive space. 15 GB of hard drive space +/- with addons. However you will want to make sure you have at least 2 GB of memory to play WoW on a desktop. More importantly you will want to have a solid video card. The integrated intel chipset video cards will not give you the performance you want out of WoW even with 4 GB of RAM. If you are truly looking for a gaming laptop, i.e. spending above the $1200 to $1500 mark, the mobile nVidia (8800m/9600m or better) or an equivalent mobile Radeon video cards should support you fine. I would suggest at least 256mb if not 512 or 768 mb dedicated (not shared) memory on the video card.

  • Nothing is more memorable than a smell. One scent can be unexpected, momentary and fleeting, yet conjure up a childhood summer beside a lake in the mountains; another, a moonlit beach; a third, a family dinner of pot roast and sweet potatoes during a myrtle-mad August in a Midwestern town. Smells detonate softly in our memory like poignant land mines hidden under the weedy mass of years. Hit a tripwire of smell and memories explode all at once. A complex vision leaps out of the undergrowth.
  • Reg, as he insisted on being called, had a memory that he himself had once compared to the Queen Alexandra Birdwing Butterfly in that it was colorful, flitted prettily hither and thither, and was now, alas, almost completely extinct.
  • Not the power to remember, but its very opposite, the power to forget, is a necessary condition for our existence.
  • To look backward for a while is to refresh the eye, to restore it, and to render it the more fit for its prime function of looking forward.
