Accumulated depreciation is the depreciation expense so far for a given asset. This goes on the balance sheet as a contra account (negative) which reduces the net value of the asset. Why is this weirder than a clock having 60 minutes or 12 hours? For each minute on the clock, there's 6 degrees - easy to show, almost as easy to remember. Just zoom in on a small small part of the watch when you draw on the blackboard. As to the why there's only guesses left, but the assumption that it was to imitate how many days the year had (like the persian calendar a long time ago). The number could possibly origin from the days when people wanted the universe to consist of perfect circles and heaven forbid it would result in uneven numbers. And it tends to get very deep. Take the intro class first. I wouldn't recommend taking either of the others before taking the intro class because you need the general information in the intro class to better understand the others. After that, if you choose to take another philosophy class, I'd choose ethics over logic. Logic is almost like an advanced math class with words instead of numbers. And check professors through ratemyprofessor.com if at all possible. You definitely want a good professor for philosophy.
