Yarn is produced by spinning raw wool fibres, linen, cotton, or other material on a spinning wheel to produce long strands. Textiles are formed by weaving, knitting, crocheting, knotting, or pressing fibres together (felt). The words fabric and cloth are used in textile assembly trades (such as tailoring and dressmaking) as synonyms for textile. However, there are subtle differences in these terms in specialized usage. Textile refers to any material made of interlacing fibres. Fabric refers to any material made through weaving, knitting, spreading, crocheting, or bonding. I used prefolds with prowrap covers for my son. They had a cut out for the cord. And they were very inexpensive. Also most companies that make newborn diapers have ones that have umbilical cord scoops. I have heard very good things about kissaluvs fitted diapers for newborns. Fitteds you have to use a cover with or change the diaper more often. As far as the one size diapers go most wont have a good fit for a newborn.
