A banknote (often known as a bill, paper money or simply a note) is a kind of negotiable instrument, a promissory note made by a bank payable to the bearer on demand, used as money, and in many jurisdictions is legal tender. Along with coins, banknotes make up the cash or bearer forms of all modern money. With the exception of non-circulating high-value or precious metal commemorative issues, coins are generally used for lower valued monetary units, while banknotes are used for higher values. GNU Free Documentation License I just found a 2000 pesos banknote. What can i get for it? Q. I was cleaning around the house and i stumbled upon a 2000 pesos banknote. I searched it and it appears that mexican banknotes only go up to 1000. Could this be a part of currency that won't be accepted? If it is still valid currency, what can i get for it? There are no odd hues or color differences. It's mainly green and off white like the american banknote. Help? Asked by muslv43 - Thu Jan 29 14:01:27 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Answered by anderson - Thu Feb 21 04:23:45 2008 This is unique, i think. can anyone tell me the odds of finding a banknote of any specific denomination ?
Q. i have found, along a route i travel often, $5, $10, $20 and $100, on different occasions. 75% of these finds were in/near parking lots, all but 1 event was during daylight hours, and I am now trying to figure out what the odds would be of encountering a $50 at any given point along this corridor. there are 3 major parking lots along my route. I know, it's a complex -and weird- question, but even just for the fun of it, does anyone have an idea of the variables i have to consider? by the way, i was walking on each occasion, with no reason to expect such a find. You will need to distinguish between the distribution of bills printed and the distribution of bills in circulation (because lots of big bills are moved from vault to vault without ever getting into circulation. Next, you'll need an idea of how many times people lose bills - and I'd argue that losing a $100 is a lot more rare than you'd think. After that, it ought to be a simple matter of probability. For me, I've found $1, $5 and $20's but never a $100. I'm gonna have to hang around with you - where did you say those parking lots were?
